Constructed of zink, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel and oak leaf wreath, with a central swooping Luftwaffe eagle clutching a mobile swastika, the reverse with two visible rivets holding the obverse eagle in place, with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, marked with the logo of maker Assmann & Shne, Ldenscheid, measuring 64. 83 mm (w) x 53. 58 mm (h), weighing 29. 1 grams, the original
