The camp was liberated on February 14th
the panels are rolled up and secured in place at the front with a single pebbled and grey-painted magnetic metal button on the right flap meeting an analogous reinforced buttonhole on the left flap
marked "Der Reichsführer-SS
which was followed five months later by his honourable discharge on September 15
the reverse inscribed in the centre with “FÜR VERDIENST IM KRIEGE 1914” (For merit at war)
Germany, Nsdap. A Member’s Armband Retrieved By A Canadian Veteran Newly Listed The camp was liberated on(NSDAP Armband). Constructed of red cotton, the exterior bearing a white cotton disc measuring 9 cm in diameter, overlaid by a multi piece black cotton mobile swastika, unmarked, measuring 17 cm (w) x 10 cm (h), demonstrating minor wear and extensive wrinkling from postwar storage in a small card stock case supplied by a Canadian Second World War veteran who retrieved the item, in overall very fine condition.
