I had a good time constructing with these in order to photograph them, and with a nice large set like this, one can build all sorts of towers and bridges and houses and more. Later 19th century I believe, in their original box bottom, but with the slide top long gone. Box measures 10 7 8 x 8 3 8 x 2 1 4 and holds two layers of blocks, all documented here.
