The indigo blue design is created by hand stamping the pattern in wax on the fabric and then dying the fabric by hand. Once the wax resist is removed, the pattern is revealed. The stamping is done by the Hmong Hill Tribe women of Northern Thailand and the fabric is hand dyed by urban artisans with quality synthetic dyes.
