Paolo Scavino, Barolo Carobric Vintage:2005 There is lovely complexity toScavino's 2003 Barolo Carobric is impeccable. Sweet floral notes meld into dried cherries, raspberries, mint and spices. As always, the Carobric is lifted and aromatically expressive. Tertiary notes are still a few years out, especially from magnum. Given the wine's mid weight structure I suggest drinking the 2003 sooner rather than later. All the elements are in the right place in this perfumed, aromatic Barolo made from parcels in Cannubi, Rocche
