I've found a Joshua PerLee Shilling (1885 1947) from a long line of Perlees and Shllings in Tuscaraw Township in Stark, Ohio, who I think was likely its maker, and I'd be willing to bet the painting is of the family home. It wins me on both a macro and micro scale
