A magnificent result for 2014
with furry tannins which are perhaps just a little dry - not the most elegant tannic texture
iron and tar flavors
mainly thanks to the larger contribution of Sémillon at one-third of the blend

Dubreuil Fontaine, Corton Clos Roi Vintage:2019 A magnificent result for 2014(from a . 62 ha parcel). Slightly more evident though still moderate wood frames the spicier and more sauvage influenced nose of similar dark berries, earth and a gamy hint. There is actually a bit less density to the more finely textured and tautly muscular flavors that exude a pungent minerality on the dusty, long and equally compact finish that should also reward a decade plus of keeping.
