Marini was mainly a sculptor, he studied in Florence, until 1940 he was professor of art at the Scuola dArte di Villa Reale near Milan, he was a friend and contemporary of Jean Arp, Max Beckmann, Alexander Calder, Giorgio de Chirico and Alberto Giacometti. He participated in the "20th Century Italian Art"
